Great beer, SUN and fun at the 2014 Annual Michigan Winter Beer Festival: 89 Breweries, 789 beers and lots of new breweries. It did not disappoint.
Eric and Evan met us at the door and started to walk us through the process of taking unwanted trees (harvested by Evan’s tree service company – Arbor Man) and turning them into usable lumber and finished wood products. Tree Purposed Detroit is unique in that they combine all aspects of lumber production and woodworking under one roof. Pretty cool!! These are certainly some ingenious and hard working fellas!

As far as I’m concerned, my holiday season kicks-in with Ann Arbor’s Midnight Madness event. This event is a nice sampling of Ann Arbor, Michigan–shopping, merrymaking, bar hopping and fun all rolled into one event. This year’s event didn’t disappoint.

Live music rocks! No shit, you may be thinking. What I mean is that hearing a tune live (or recorded live) cranks up the energy level a few notches. Remember when you heard “Parasite” by Kiss on “Hotter Than Hell”? Now, remember listing to that same tune on “Alive!” It kicked even more ass!
