by | Jan 13, 2013 | Food | 2 comments

Yes I know that I promised to update my post of favorite vegan recipe blogs but instead I’m recommending a few Vegan Recipe Blogs to Follow in 2013.

The Sweetest Vegan

Tasha Edwards, MPH

I ABSOLUTELY love The Sweetest Vegan. Her blog posts always include a video and you can’t help smiling while you watch. Her thing is making old favorites vegan:

The Sweetest Vegan has a sweet tooth and therefore has posted many wonderful vegan dessert recipes. She converted some delicious dessert recipes while working on the Southern Queen of Vegan Cuisine project.

About Southern Queen of Vegan Cuisine Project

Inspired by the Julie and Julia Project, the Southern Queen of Vegan Cuisine will take on the Paula Deen Southern Cooking Bible. Veganizing 328 butter-laden, pork-filled recipes in 328 days. This is a test . . . this is only a test of skill, imagination, and physical & mental fortitude.

Mouthwatering Vegan Recipes

Delicious, nutritious, cholesterol-free vegan food : for Compassionate Eating

Miriam Sorrell maintains the Mouthwatering Vegan Recipes blog and is publishing a cookbook in June 2013. Most of her recipes are easy to prepare and you’ll find many of the dishes have a mediterranean or Eastern flare. I stumbled upon her blog via Facebook and I strongly recommend her blog. She’s won a few awards and has been featured in several magazines. You should note she is based in the UK, so you may encounter a few ingredients or brands not commonly found in the US (she also uses metric system… yikes!) but you’ll find recipes like:

Lunchboxbunch.com

Healthy Happy Life – 100% Vegan

Kathy Patalsky updates this site regularly. Her recipes are very kid friendly, delicious, nutritious and always 100% vegan. If you love smoothies then you definitely need to stop by her site. Her book – “365 Vegan Smoothies” will be published in early spring/summer 2013. I recently fell in love with her vegan peanut butter cookies. Here blog entries are beautiful, contain many pictures and the recipes are clear and easy to follow. I’m always looking for vegan breakfast recipes and her blog has many. Here is sampling of my favorite recipes:

BitterSweet

I found the BitterSweet blog while looking for a vegan haggis recipe instead I found Hannah’s Vegan’s Hundred post. (I eventually found a vegan haggis recipe.) Since then I’ve reposted many of Hannah’s recipes on Pinterest. I’m so glad I found the BitterSweet blog. She writes really helpful posts for vegans like:
